Arms March

This is a nice little 6/8 March and would be nice played at Clan Gatherings

Buchanan
Castle

Written by Dr Bruce E Thomson, whom was a noted composer. He wrote this on a visit to Buchanan Golf Club and Castle Ruins

Clan Buchanan March

Written by Rod Buchanan ‘Chiefs piper for Scotland’ in 2022 as a march for the clan.

It is recommended that this tune becomes a standard, to be played leading the Clan at Highland gatherings; with the aim that other clans will start to recognize the presence of Clan Buchanan through the music

Miss Buchanan of Cambusmore

A Fiddle tune composed by Composed by William Shepherd, an Edinburgh musician and music seller.

This version has been arranged for Bagpipe by Richard Harris the Chiefs Piper in Oceana for Performance (by Rod Buchanan) at the Chiefs Inauguration 2022.

Return
of the Chief

Written by ‘Chiefs piper for Oceana’ Richard Harris in 2019 to commemorate the Chiefs visit to Australia.  This was also played at the inauguration in 2022

It is recommended that this tune becomes a standard, to be played leading the Clan at Highland gatherings; with the aim that other clans will start to recognize the presence of Clan Buchanan through the music

Brighter Hence
the Honour

A work in Progress,  composed by Rod Buchanan… It is being refined and expanded in to a “Suite” to celebrate Clan Buchanan and their heraldic clogan. On completion this tune would have immense potential to be played as a concert piece.
