From the age of Picts and the first Kings of Scotland; listed as Reivers and the unruly;
We signed the Declaration of Arbroath (for Scotlands independence, in 1320) and avoided the Ragmans roll (allegiance to King Edward I, in 1291);
We have connection to the royal Stewarts and the politics of William Wallace;
And the Jacobite uprising and the highland clearances;
Clan Buchanan are the defenders of the Highlands of Scotland:
Situated on the highland border, in the middle of Scotland, in proximity to the largest cities in the country;
Buchanan, on the shores of Loch Lomond, we are some of the original Highlanders.
