The modern Highland Gathering or Highland Games is a day full of events and activities. It is a mix of Scottish sporting and heavy events (eg caber tossing), Scottish music including pipe bands and massed pipes and drums displays, highland dancing, food and produce stalls, community stalls and, perhaps above all, great community spirit built off a base of Scottish culture.  Highland Gatherings are a fete, a fair, a market and music festival combine into one. 

A Family Event

The highland gathering is a fun family event, with something for everyone. We've got a dedicated kids area with a range of activities we're sure everyone will enjoy. If you are a gathering veteran or you are looking for something new, we look forwarding to seeing you in October.

Ceilidh - A Party that's a wee bit Scottish

This year thanks to the support of the Canberra Burns Club the ceilidh will be a free event featuring local band Cassidy’s Ceili. The Ceilidh will be held at the Canberra Burns Club, Kett Street Kambah with doors opening at 7:00pm
