The Penticton Scottish Festival Society exists to celebrate, showcase and support Celtic events and activities that are musical, cultural, artistic, athletic and community-based.
The Penticton Scottish Festival Society was founded in 2013 by a core group of enthusiastic volunteers. The first Penticton Scottish Festival was held on July 5th , 2014 in King’s Park. We were so excited to be back!
The Penticton Scottish Festival has continued to acquire new members who have brought interesting and innovative ways to make the Festival a success. Robbie Burns Night at the Lakeside Resort has become one of our most well-attended fundraisers.
We are very excited to celebrate our 9th Annual Penticton Scottish Festival & Highland Games on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at our original home in King’s Park. Hope to see you there!
Clan buchanan will be represented by Paul McCormack. come join him in Penticton, British Columbia!
And we're back on the road again venturing from my home in Edmonton, Alberta to spread the joy of Clan Buchanan to our neighbouring province of British Columbia. This will be the final event filling three weekends in a row which has us traveling from Edmonton to Vancouver, to Red Deer, to Edmonton, & now back into British Columbia. This time into the beautiful and very HOT, Okanagan Valley of B.C.
If you've never been here, the scenery is fabulous, & the weather fantastic!
I truly enjoy the experience, & interactions with all the wonderful folks who attend these events, & I believe that the Clan Buchanan Society International is a very positive addition to any Celtic, or Scottish event, & it is long past time for our Clan presence to be seen, heard and felt in Beautiful British Columbia.
That said, it is my hope that I will encounter a potential convener(s) who resides in the Okanagan Valley area willing, & able to attend future events to continue a presence at the local venues, & 'carry the torch' forward on behalf of Clan Buchanan.
Clar Innis!
