Join us at the 2025 Hawaiian Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Waikiki!

This is Hawaii's premier Scottish festival and Highland games. It would be wonderful to see others proudly wearing their Buchanan kilts and sashes at the event. Come on out and connect with others celebrating Scottish heritage in the Hawaiian Islands.

Experience the vibrant blend of Hawaiian and Scottish cultures with live music, traditional dance, delicious food, and fun activities for all ages. Don't miss out on this unique celebration in beautiful Honolulu!

The Festival features:

  • Highland games and athletics, men's and women's competition prizes (learn about the history of the athletic events)

  • Highland Dance competition

  • Entertainment including piping, music, song and dance

  • A gathering of Clans from around Hawaii, as well as from the mainland, to display information pertinent to themselves, and invite other members of the clan to join them

  • Demonstrations of swordplay, weaving, and fencing

  • Vendors featuring Scottish wear, Celtic clothing, jewelry, musical instruments, housewares, etc.

  • Food Vendors offering traditional Scottish fare, local grinds and more. (yes, even canned haggis!)

We welcome you to join Clan Buchanan at the Hawaiin Scottish Festival and Highland Games. Various items representing the proud history of Clan Buchanan will be on display. We will be there both days, so come visit and enjoy a wonderful day of Scottish entertainment, interacting with kin and clan, welcoming hospitality, food and athletics, while surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii.

Aloha, Clan Buchanan will be represented by Lynne Horiuchi. Lynne works at The Kamehameha Schools and this is my 2nd year convening at the festival.
